hack.lu 2005
the first hacking con in lu (organized by csrrt-lu) was really great. it all started with a nice talk (available in french) from the economy and foreign trade minister, mr jeannot krecke. 2 days of lectures, workshops and last but not least a ctf contest followed.
here my impressions:
- fccu workshop, the belgian federal crime unit's forensics workshop, a real success, good job christophe, geert
- php security, even if it wasn't so heavily visited bruno's workshop was really nice too
- ctf, the ctf was i think the core event of the 2nd day, the many shoulder sufers, at least gave my that impression ;), we (team e-nerv, being bloody beginners) did not so bad, third of four, as the two first (Ubiteam and 0ld Eur0pe) were kind of professionnals ;). get the detailed ctf results
- social engineering, as i was told koen's biggest security issue "the human factor" was very nice too
- cyber skirmishes, zubair's presentation about cyber warfare: astonishing!
- i'm sure all the others were good too, but well we haven't perfectionized this cloning yet ...
